My boyfriend’s birthday cake ended up as a bit of a dense, flat mess due to a lack of baking powder and I couldn’t bear to throw it away so these cake pops were the result. And since it’s Easter, why not transform them into Easter eggs?!
The recipe for the cake is already on the blog, but to make it into a cake pop, you just need to mush it all together before coating it in melted chocolate and sweet sprinkles. The custard and jam filling were enough to bind the cake crumbs together, but you can always throw some buttercream into the mix for some extra smush.
When it’s not Easter, just make some simple balls and coat them in chocolate, scrummy!
