Homemade Ferrero Rocher

A simple and easy recipe for a healthy vegan version of Ferrero Rocher. Rich caramelly dates smothered in smooth chocolate and filled with a roasted hazelnut.

Ingredients

  • 30 whole dates
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 25 ml plant milk
  • 30 whole roasted hazelnuts
  • 4 tbsp crushed hazelnuts

Instructions

  • Using a knife, carefully slit open the date in the centre, lengthways, and remove the stone.
  • Insert 1 hazelnut per date in the centre and close back up by gently squeezing the date in your hand or using your fingers.
  • Add the milk to the chocolate and melt.
  • One by one, coat the dates in the chocolate (or drizzle on top if you prefer less chocolate) and then sprinkle with the crushed hazelnuts.
  • Place in the fridge to set for at least 1 hour.
